Traffic Restrictions Imposed In Hyderabad Amid Durga Idol Immersion

In the wake of Navratri celebration and Durga idol immersion in Telangana, the State traffic police imposed restrictions on traffic routes. 

The traffic restrictions are imposed for two days, the 24th of October and the 25th of October.

Following are the routes to be avoided in the city on the aforementioned dates.

Traffic heading towards NTR marg through Khairatabad flyover would be diverted towards Nirankari. The vehicles coming from Iqbal Minar, Liberty and Telugu Talli junctions would be allowed towards NTR Marg.

Traffic coming from Panjagutta – Somajiguda and Raj Bhavan Road would proceed through Nirankari, Old Saifabad PS, Iqbal Minar, Ambedkar Statue towards Secunderabad and Basheerbagh.

Traffic from Iqbal Minar, Liberty and Telugu Thalli would head through Old Saifabad PS, Lakdikapul, towards Mehdipatnam or Khairatabad.

Vehicle traffic coming towards Tank Bund from Secunderabad side would be diverted at Children’s Park towards lower Tank Bund based on the movement of vehicles carrying Durga idols as per the situation on the days of immersion.

The traffic police have asked commuters to follow alternate routes given during the immersion days.
