TRS Gives Jobs To Family Members Of Deceased RTC Employees

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government, on the 6th of December, gave jobs to the family members of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) employees who died.

Approximately 38 TSRTC employees died during the TSRTC strike, which started on the 5th of October and ended on the 25th of November.

K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, on the 1st of December, announced the Government would give compensation to the families of the deceased TSRTC employees and offer a TSRTC job to the eligible family members.

The announcement was made during a meeting organised at Pragati Bhavan, Telangana.

On the night of the 6th of December, G. Kiran Reddy, the Senior Public Relations Manager of the TSRTC, released a note which assured jobs to 33 eligible family members of the deceased RTC employees.

The release also stated all the District Collectors paid an ex gratia of Rs. 2 lakhs each to 22 families out of the 38 families.  The remaining families would be given the compensation of Rs. 2 lakhs on the 7th of December.

The families of the TSRTC employees are happy and thanked KCR for his decision of giving them jobs.
