Cheruku Srinivas Reddy, the member of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is likely to join the Indian National Congress (INC.)
Upset with the TRS for denying him the ticket for the Dubbaka by elections, Mr. Reddy decided to switch his loyalties to the INC.
Srinivas Reddy is the son of former MLA the late Cheruku Muthyam Reddy He expected to get the ticket for the by poll for the Dubbaka constituency.
However, K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, announced Ramalinga Reddy’s wife S. Sujatha as the party candidate for the Dubbaka by elections.
Mr. Srinivas Reddy is likely to join the INC at Gandhi Bhavan in the presence of N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, the President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC.)
The Congress Party is likely to announce Srinivas Reddy as the candidate of Dubbaka by elections.
However, an official announcement is yet to be made.
In regard to this, amid the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 situation, the Telangana State Election Commission released a notice for the Dubbaka by polls.
According to the released notification, the election will be scheduled on the 3rd November, 2020.
While the last date for nominations is on 16th of October, the scrutiny of the nominations would be held on the 17th of October.
The last date for withdrawing the nominations is on the 19th October, 2020.
The results of the elections would be announced on the 10th of November.
