Aiming to regain power in next year’s Telangana Assembly elections, the ruling Government started its efforts within the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS.)

In the latest development, sources revealed that Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, is likely to include Mr. Prashant Kishore, election strategist for the 2023 Assembly elections and 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

After the recent victories of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Dubbaka by-election and the Huzurabad by-election, the TRS geared up to enhance their work and regain stronghold, like before.

In addition, the switching of Mr. Eatala Rajender, one of the most senior and strong leaders of the TRS to the BJP, played a vital role, in the strengthening and establishment of the BJP in the Telugu State.  With this constant twist and turns in the politics of Telangana, the TRS is not in a mood to take any risk and conducted meetings with Mr. Prashant Kishore.

According to sources, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao and Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of the TRS, met with the election strategist.   If TRS efforts are successful, the strategist’s organization, the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC,) would work with the TRS.

It is to be noted, the I-PAC has earlier helped Mr. Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in the 2019 Andhra Pradesh elections.  The results were victorious for the Party, which is now the ruling Government of Andhra Pradesh.  Hoping for similar results in Telangana, the TRS Government is looking forward to regaining power in the Telugu State.

The Telangana Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in 2023.  Besides the TRS, the BJP and the Indian National Congress are expected to contest the elections.
