Mr. Malla Reddy, the Labour Minister of Telangana, reacted to the allegations levelled against him by Mr. A. Revanth Reddy, the President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC.)

On the 24th of May, Tuesday, Mr. Malla Reddy, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Minister, lashed out at Mr. A. Revanth Reddy and said he is a blackmailer.  Mr. Malla Reddy said, “I purchased lands for my university by paying four times higher than the market price.”

Addressing the media, Mr. Malla Reddy expressed anger over the land encroachment charges levelled by Mr. A. Revanth Reddy and accused the TPCC President of blackmailing him for money.  Mr. Malla Reddy said that Mr. A. Revanth Reddy has been after him since the time when both the leaders were a part of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)

Mr. Malla Reddy said, “Revanth had tried his best to stop the TDP leadership from giving me B-form to contest for Malkajgiri MP seat.”   He added that Mr. A. Revanth Reddy even got his daughter married with the money given by him.  With this revelation, Mr. Malla Reddy even challenged Mr. A. Revanth Reddy to deny that he conducted his daughter’s marriage without his financial help.  

Mr. Malla Reddy also claimed that soon Mr. A. Revanth Reddy would join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)

Notably, the war of words and allegations started after Mr. A. Revanth Reddy accused Mr. Malla Reddy of corruption and land encroachment.  Mr. A. Revanth Reddy said that Mr. Malla Reddy is responsible for the missing land (3,145 acres) from the portal.  Mr. Revanth Reddy also accused Mr. Malla Reddy of purchasing lands from the poor farmers citing a lack of records in the Dharani portal.
