The Union Health Ministry, on the 2nd of March, confirmed one positive case of Coronavirus in Telangana.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO,) the Coronavirus is a family of viruses which cause common health issues like cough and cold, severe illnesses such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV) and may even lead to death. The incubation period of the virus is 10 to 14 days.
The virus which was first discovered in China so far killed 3,000 people, and infected more than 88,000 cases globally.
The Union Health Ministry, released a notice dated the 2nd of March and confirmed two positive cases, one in Telangana and one in Delhi.
The person who is in Telangana has a travel history from Dubai, whereas, the Delhi patient travelled from Italy.
As of now, both the patients are being closely observed and are kept under observation with all kinds of medical treatments.
With this, India reported 5 positive cases of the Novel Coronavirus, 3 in Kerala and 1 each in Delhi and Telangana.
The deadly Novel Coronavirus, which first affected China, now spread to 25 other countries, including India. The Indian Government asked the citizens to avoid travel to the most affected countries like Iran, Italy, China and South Korea.
