On the 27th of October, the Yadadri Temple authorities released a QR code for the donations. With this QR code, people could donate money making digital payments for the gold plating of the gopuram or adding to the renovation works.

It is to be noted, the Yadadri Temple of Lord Lakhsmi Narasimha is being renovated. The Telangana Government decided to have the gold planting of the Vimana Gopuram. For the plating, 125 kgs of gold worth Rs. 65 crores is needed. The gold planting of Vimana Gopuram is made on the lines of Tirumala Tirupati Temple and is similar to the design at the Lord Venkateshwar Temple. To meet the need for gold, earlier Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana announced his contribution of 1.16 kg of gold and also directed every gram panchayat in the state to contribute money even if it is just Rs 11. Following the CM’s path, public representatives and businessmen announced their contribution for the temple gopuram gold plating.

Later, the temple authority made it easier for people by launching a QR scanner to make payments digitally. The temple officials on Wednesday released a QR code, inviting donations for Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadadri. Now, devotees who are willing to donate money can make digital payments by scanning the code.

After releasing the QR code, Mr. N. Geetha, the Executive Officer of the Yadadri Temple said, “It was the Chief Minister’s decision to involve the devotees in gold plating of the temple gopuram. Around 125 kg of gold is required for the gold plating. Devotees can donate the money through all payment apps such as Phonepe, Google Pay, PayTM and other apps.”

The renovated Yadadri Shrine of Lord Laxminarasimha Swamy with a cost of Rs. 18,000 crore would be inaugurated and thrown open to the public on the 28th of March, 2022.
