On Saturday, the Congress Leader Digvijaya Singh, annoyed after being ridiculed by the Goa CM Manohar Parrikar attacked him and called him ‘power hungry’ and a ‘cheat.’ On Friday, Parrikar thanked Digvijaya Singh in a sarcastic tone for letting him become the CM of Goa. Parrikar implied that Singh did not put in his full efforts to fight in forming the government despite winning the Assembly elections.
Amidst the protests of Congress Leaders, the CM said, “I also thank Digvijaya Singh, because he was roaming around in Goa and I was able to form the government.” As a reply to this, the Congress Minister said the BJP had ‘bought support’ and formed the government instead of winning as a single largest party. In the recently finished Assembly, Elections Congress emerged the winner but BJP managed to claim the stake with the support of two local parties and Independent members.
Manohar Parrikar thanks me for letting him form Govt in Goa.

Shame on you Mr Parrikar and your hunger for Power. You have cheated the People of Goa. Apologise to them.

Digvijaya Singh went ahead and showed his ire on the Governor and said that he had violated the constitution by inviting BJP to form a government despite the party losing elections. Parrikar has constantly taken digs at Singh after becoming the CM. Digvijay and other ministers tried to form a coalition so as to emerge successful in the trust vote during the floor test, but BJP managed to win with 22 legislators support.
And Governor Goa who violated Constitution Sarkaria Commission guideline & Supreme Court decisions and robbed the mandate of People of Goa

Speaking about this Congress’ move, Parrikar said to the media, “The Congress (leaders) coming down (to Goa) for the floor test was possible all a hype because it was being demanded that Digvijaya should be kept down as the general secretary. He had to do something. This happens when you come to Goa just to enjoy, not to work.”
