The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) constituted a 4 member Technical Committee, which will study and analyse the status of all the buildings at the Secretariat.
The constituted committee is expected to submit its final report regarding the infrastructure of the old buildings to K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, within 10 days or 2 weeks.
Ganapathi Reddy, the State Engineer in Chief of Roads and Buildings Department, is the head of the constituted committee. Ganapathi Reddy visited all the 10 buildings on the Secretariat premises and checked aspects such as the fitness of the structures, fire safety and the existing ambience for stress free work by the employees in all the blocks.
As of now, the Committee is ready with the preliminary report and the details of the visit, based on the officials’ observations. Within 10 days, the Committee will prepare a detailed report with the new designs, infrastructure and other measures to be implemented at the Secretariat.
The Technical Committee was constituted after the State Government decided to demolish all the structures and construct a new state of the art Secretariat.
The idea was approved by KCR, following which, the officials started their work. The design of the new Secretariat will be finalised based on the report prepared by the Committee.
