On the 25th of September, the Unnao rape survivor was discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi.
On the 28th of July, the victim met with an accident and later, she was shifted to AIIMS in Delhi for treatment. Since the 5th of August, the girl was undergoing treatment.
The family of the girl alleged Kuldeep Singh Sengar of causing the accident. In 2017, Kuldeep Singh Sengar, a former member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) allegedly raped the teen. In 2018, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI,) after a probe, proved Senger guilty and he was jailed for the same.
As of now, after being discharged, the victim will stay with her family in Delhi due to threat at her residence in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Government confirmed the news about the victim and her family members residing in Delhi.
The CBI is investigating the accident case, which took place on the 28th of July and charged 10 people, including Sengar, for the same.
On the other hand, the Chief Justice of India ordered the Delhi High Court to complete the trial of the case as soon as possible.
