Class 9 Student Tests COVID-19 Positive In Telangana

On the 11th of June, a student of Zila Parishad School, Siddipet tested positive for the deadly Novel Coronavirus infection.

Akhil, a native of  Jangampalli village of Mirudoddi mandal is a student of class 9 and is already undergoing cancer treatment.   He was admitted at the MNJ Cancer Hospital and was undergoing treatment when doctors suggested to conduct COVID-19 test.

Akhil was tested for the Novel Coronavirus and resulted to be positive for the infection.  With this, Siddipet recorded a total of 5 cases of the Novel Coronavirus.  Out of 4 cases, 3 are active cases, one recovered and 0 deceased till the 11th of June.

Meanwhile, Telangana reported a total of 4,111 cases of the Novel Coronavirus, out of which 2138 are active cases, 1,817 are recovered/  discharged cases and 156 are deceased till the 11th of June.

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is making all the measures to control the spread of the virus, especially in the containment zones.  Telangana has a total of 159 containment zones, including Hyderabad.

Hyderabad has the highest number of the Novel Coronavirus cases in the State as the number stood at 2,514 cases.
