On the night of the 18th of September, the Telangana Health Department released a media bulletin, briefing about the Novel Coronavirus situation in the State.
According to the released media bulletin, Telangana recorded 2,123 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
19 from Adilabad, 53 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 305 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and 53 from Jagtial.
The remaining cases were 28 from Jangaon, 23 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 26 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 72 from Kamareddy, 112 from Karimnagar, 93 from Khammam, 16 from Komaram Bheem Asifabad, 33 from Mahabubnagar, 77 from Mahabubabad, 30 from Mancherial, 34 from Medak, 149 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 20 from Mulugu, 40 from Nagarkurnool, 135 from Nalgonda, 18 from Narayanpet, 23 from Nirmal, 78 from Nizamabad, 48 from Peddapalli, 43 from Rajanna Sircilla, 185 from Rangareddy, 59 from Sangareddy, 87 from Siddipet, 65 from Suryapet, 22 from Vikarabad, 26 from Wanaparthy, 29 from Warangal Rural, 81 from Warangal Urban and 41 from Yadadri Bhongir
Of the total new Coronavirus cases, Apart from the 2,123infections, the State reported 9 fatalities and 2,151 recoveries
With these updates, till the 19thh of September, Telangana has 1,69,169 positive cases, 30,636 active cases, 1,37,508 recovered/discharged cases and 1,025 deceased.
Of the total 30,636 active cases, 24,070 patients were under home isolation and 6,566 positive cases are in institutional care in Telangana.
In addition, the recovery rate from the COVID-19 infection in Telangana stood at 81.28 % and mortality rate at 0.60 %.
The average rate of COVID-19 infection growth is 1.40 % and active cases ratio is 18.40 %.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Health officials in the past 24 hours conducted 54,459 COVID-19 tests, of which results of 1,207 samples are awaited.
Overall till the 19th of September, 24,34,409 COVID-19 tests have been done.
The population of Telangana as per 2019 data is 3,72,20,000.
