On the 30th of January, Monday, a powerful bomb blast was reported in the Peshawar region of Pakistan.
According to sources, the suicide blast left 17 killed and 95 people severely injured at a mosque. Getting into the details, the blast occurred near the police lines area around 1:40 P.M., confirmed police sources.
The incident occurred during afternoon prayers near a mosque located in the northwestern Peshawar region, Pakistan. Furthermore, of the deceased and injured, most of the people were locals, police staff, security officials and health officials. All the injured people were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar and are undergoing treatment. The hospital also declared an emergency, appealing to people to donate blood for those in critical condition being treated.
Meanwhile, as per the police sources, the details and ulterior motive behind the blast is yet to be known and an investigation has been launched.
