Thiruvananthapuram: At least 15 young people are suspected to have joined the Islamic State. Nearly 15 Muslims from Kasaragod and Palakkad have been missing for a month now and they are suspected to be the ISIS. The missing include nine men, their wives and two kids. It is learnt that three of the women are pregnant.
The relatives of the missing said that they had received messages from them saying that they had reached their final destination – the ‘Caliphate’. Reports says that they have gone via Dubai or Sri Lanka in groups.
Kasargod MP P. Karunakaran had brought the issue to the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and also informed the same to Union Minister Rajnath Singh.
