Mr. Adimulapu Suresh, the former Education Minister of Andhra Pradesh, took over as the Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development. On the 14th of April, Thursday, Mr. Adimulapu Suresh conducted special pujas in his chamber at the Secretariat and took the charge.
After conducting the puja, the new Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister addressed the media and said, he would make the State a clean Andhra Pradesh and will carry out the task entrusted to him in good faith. Speaking about his plans for the future, Mr. Adimulapu Suresh the administration would be decentralised in line with the Chief Minister Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s ideas.
Speaking about the political career and early life of Mr. Adimulapu Suresh, he served as an IRS officer until 2004. After serving as an IRS Officer for almost 22 years and resigned in 2009. Later in 2009, he joined politics and contested from Yarragondapalem on behalf of the Indian National Congress with the blessings of late Mr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and won.
In 2014, he won from the Santhanuthalapadu and from Yarragondapalem in 2019 elections, where he contested from the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.) He was also elected as the Minister of Education in the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy Cabinet.
