The Andhra Pradesh (AP) Police, on the 24th of May, appointed Amarlapudi Joshi, an official of the AP Security Wing, as the Chief Security Officer of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

After the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) won the AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, the AP Police appointed Joshi.

The decision was taken during the late hours of the 23rd of May, to ensure the security of the new Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is tight.

The AP Police officials also issued an alert notice and increased the security at Jagan’s residence, as many leaders and activists are visiting him to congratulate him.

Kumar Vishwajeet, the Chief of the AP Intelligence and Rajiv Kumar Meena, the Inspector General (IG) of Guntur, are supervising the security related issues pertaining to Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The AP Police tightened the security at Jagan’s residence, his Party Office and the other places which he frequently visits.

Jagan Mohan Reddy will take oath as the Chief Minister of AP on the 30th of May in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
