In Andhra Pradesh’s Vizianagaram district, a shocking incident occurred, leaving two students ill due to a stampede in a train.
On the 1st of November, Tuesday, two students, said to be natives of Odisha suffered suffocation due to a stampede situation at the East Coast Express train near Vizianagaram. Getting into details, the two girls came to Andhra Pradesh to appear for the BEd examinations in the Prakasam district and were returning home after the exams.
They boarded the East Coast Express train from Vizianagaram, which had approximately 200 people in their bogie. Due to overcrowded bogies and no space to breathe, the two students suffered suffocation and fell ill. The Vizianagaram Railways officials immediately shifted the two passengers to a nearby hospital for treatment. Later, they were taken to a private hospital in Vizianagaram.
The incident triggered panic among the other passengers travelling on the East Coast Express.
