On the 14th of May, Andhra Pradesh, reported a rise in the number of Novel Coronavirus cases. The state reported 68 new cases of COVID-19 infection, increasing the total to 2,205 cases in Andhra Pradesh.
The increase in the number of cases were reported after decreasing number of cases cosecutively for a week.
On the 13th of May, Andhra Pradesh recorded 33 new cases, but in 24 hours, the cases increased to 68.
Of the 68 cases 5 were Guntur, 2 from Krishna, 9 from Chittoor district, 15 from Nellore district, 2 from Kadapa, 1 from West Godavari and 2 from Srikakulam. The remaining 32 cases were reported from the people who are in Andhra Pradesh and are citizens of other states.
The death toll in the state increased to 48, with two death reported from the Krishna district.
Even as the cumulative tally in the State touched 2,205 cases the number of people cured and discharged from hospital has risen to 1,192
