On the 12th of November, the Andhra Pradesh Government released the second installment of the YSR Cheyutha Scheme in the State.
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government implemented the YSR Cheyutha scheme in 2018 after being in power.
The scheme provides financial benefit to women belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC,) the Scheduled Tribe (ST,) the Other Backward Class (OBC) and other minority classes in the State.
Under the Scheme, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, announced financial assistance to the aforementioned beneficiaries in installments.
On the 12th of November, the YSRCP Government released the second installment of the scheme to beneficiaries in their account.
The launch event was organised at the YSRCP Camp Office Tadepalli, Andhra Pradesh.
YSRCP ministers like Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Botsa Satyanarayana and Panchayati Raj Principal Secretary Gopalakrishna Dwivedi were present on the occasion.
Gopalakrishna Dwivedi, the Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj said, “In the first phase of’ YSR Cheyuta ‘, Rs. 4,000 crore was deposited in their accounts and as part of the second installment, we are providing Rs. 510.01 crores to 2.72 lakh women.” He further added, “We are providing financial assistance of Rs. 75,000 for four years at a rate of Rs.18,750 per annum.”
Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the scheme was a boon for women and was doing a great service to women.
On the 12th of November, the State Government transferred Rs. 510.01 crores to the accounts of 2,72,005 eligible women in the State.
