On the morning of the 9th of August, a fire broke out in an institutional care for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 patients in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
The massive fire claimed seven lives and at least 30 were rescued.
The fire broke out at 5:30 A.M., at Hotel Swarna Palace, which has been turned as an institutional care for the COVID-19 patients.
Initially two fire tenders after being informed about the fire, rushed to the spot and are trying to douse the fire. The reason behind the massive fire is yet to be known.
Due to the sudden incident, people at the hotel turned institutional care panicked and jumped from the first floor of the building.
The Vijayawada Police and fire tenders are at the spot and trying to rescue people.
Many people are feared to be trapped inside the hotel.
Rescue operation is underway.
