On the 21st of July, the Andhra Pradesh Health department confirmed 4,074 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
With the new cases, the total reached to 53,724, of these 28,800 are active cases, 24,228 are recovered/discharged cases and 696 are deceased cases.
In the last 24 hours, the State witnesses 4,074 new cases, 1,338 recovered cases and 54 new deceased cases.
Of the total 4,074 cases, 596 were from Guntur, Kurnool (559,) Anantapur (342,) Krishna (129,) East Godavari (1,086,) Chittoor (116,) Kadapa (152,) West Godavari (354,) Visakhapatnam (116,) Nellore (100,) Prakasam (221,) Srikakulam (261) and Vizianagaram (56.)
The top districts of Andhra Pradesh with highest number of the Novel Coronavirus cases are East Godavari with 7,232 cases, followed by Kurnool (6,604,) Guntur (5,494,) Anantapur (5,483) and Chittoor (4,763.)
In addition, the mortality rate of COVID-19 in Andhra Pradesh is 1.30% , the average growth rate of the infection is now 9% from the previous 8% and the recovery rate now is reduced to 45.10% from the previous 48.79%.
Till the 21st of July, Andhra Pradesh conducted a total of 13,49,112 tests for the Novel Coronavirus.
The total population of the State as per 2019 data is 5,22,21,000.
