The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) and the Andhra Pradesh Weather Department, has issued a rain alert in the Telugu State of Andhra Pradesh.
According to the IMD and Andhra Pradesh Weather Department, the State is set to receive rainfall from the 18th of November, for the next three days, till 20th of November.
On the 18th of November, the IMD said another low pressure effect has been formed in the South East Bay of Bengal, resulting in rainfall in southern parts including regions of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. The low pressure formed in South West Bay of Bengal during the last few days merged with Southeast Arabian Sea on the 13th of November, which is likely to bring moderate to heavy rainfall in Andhra Pradesh’s coastal region.
While coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema would witness moderate rainfall, Nellore district and its adjacent regions would see heavy rainfall from the 18th of November.
In the past few days the State witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall causing trouble to the people, who were struggling with water logged, flood like situations and electricity issues due to the rainfall, especially in Nellore.
Now with another warning of rainfall, the Andhra Pradesh Weather Department asked people to be alert and avoid venturing out, especially fishermen.
