Nara Lokesh, a member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) alleged, K.T. Rama Rao (KTR,) the Working President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) threatened TDP candidates.

On the 28th of March, Nara Lokesh addressed several roadshows and public rallies in Andhra Pradesh and said, “Chandrashekar Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi colluded with each other and are trying to defeat TDP and elect YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy as their puppet chief minister in AP.”

Lokesh said, KTR warned the TDP candidates not to contest the Assembly elections, or else the TRS will take away their properties in Hyderabad.

Lokesh, the Information Technology (IT) Minister of Andhra Pradesh, further said, K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR,) the Chief Minister of Telangana, bribed Jagan Mohan Reddy, the President of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.) He said, KCR gave Rs. 1,000 crores to Jagan to win the elections so that the TRS can rule in Andhra Pradesh.

To prove his allegations, Mr. Lokesh highlighted the growing friendship between KTR and Jagan Mohan Reddy. Lokesh also asked why KTR needs to help Jagan Mohan Reddy in campaigning for the upcoming Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections, scheduled on the 11th of April 2019.

The major parties contesting the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections are the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the TDP and the JanaSena Party.

The results of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
