The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Cabinet called for a meeting after the Andhra Pradesh started the Budget Session 2023-2024.
On the 14th of March, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, held the meeting, to discuss as many as 45 agenda items. During the meeting, the Cabinet minister and the YSRCP leaders would discuss 15 bills to be introduced in the Assembly and would approve the same. Furthermore, the State Cabinet would also hold a discussion over the three capitals of the Andhra Pradesh issue.
Notably, during the Budget session, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would introduce a bill, approving Kurnool, Visakhapatnam and Amravati to be capitals of the Telugu State, Andhra Pradesh.
The cabinet will approve the new industrial policy as well. Earlier, a BAC meeting was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Tammineni Sitaram that has decided to hold assembly meetings till the 24th of March.
AP Assembly budget meetings will be held for 9 days and it has been decided in BAC to present the budget on 16th of this month.
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, Ministers Buggana Rajendranath, Jogi Ramesh, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Chief Whip Prasad Raju and Srikanth Reddy participated in the meeting. The Assembly budget sessions begun on Tuesday morning with governor Abdul Nazeer speech where the latter has highlighted the salient features of the government in welfare and development of Andhra Pradesh.
