Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) on the 23rd of December, laid the foundation for the Kadapa Steel Plant.
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the factory and performed a bhoomi puja in the presence of chief guests Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Mekapati Goutham Reddy.
During the occasion, Jagan Mohan Reddy addressed the public and assured the construction of the steel factory would be completed by 2022. He said the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) decided to establish the steel plant for the growth and development of the State and its citizens. The steel plant would provide employment to as many as 25,000 citizens of A.P.
Mr. Reddy thanked Dharmendra Pradhan, a Union Minister, for his efforts and contribution to the establishment of the steel plant by supplying materials for the factory’s construction and setup.
Mr. Jagan said as per the manifesto of the YSRCP, the Party laid the foundation for the plant in Kadapa. He said, “There have been movements run for the setting up of the steel factory in the past, but we have made it clear that they have taken up the program within six months of coming to power.”
Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy is expected to be in Kadapa for three days.
Y.S. Avinash Reddy, the Member of Parliament (MP) of Kadapa, Dr. Sudhir Reddy, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Jammalamadugu and YSRCP leaders and others attended the inauguration event.
