Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra (A.P.,) on the 21st of February, approved the proposal for the recruitment of 180 personnel for Forensic laboratories in the State.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government, recently decided to launch special laboratories dedicated for newly implemented A.P., Disha Act, 2019.

As of now, the State Government decided to establish two forensic labs, one in Tirupati and one in Visakhapatnam, whereas one is already  launched in Amaravati.

Besides special forensic labs, the Government also decided to launch 18 Disha police stations and 13 separate courts for speedy trial of the cases registered under the Act.

M. Sucharitha, the Home Minister of A.P., is going to supervise the construction of the forensic labs in A.P.

So far, the State Government has not enacted the A.P., Disha Act, as it is still pending with the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and President of India, Ram Nath Kovind for approval.

Recruitment of the 108 posts for forensic labs under the new A.P., Disha Act, 2019 is going to  begin soon.
