On the 13th of September, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, wrote to Mr. S. Jaishankar, the Union External Affairs Minister.
The letter was written to highlight the distressed workers in Bahrain. It is to be noted, a few workers are in Bahrain, and the Andhra Pradesh Government requested the Union External Affairs Ministry to bring back these workers back to the State.
Mr. Y.S. Jahan Mohan Reddy brought to the notice of the External Affairs Ministry regarding the situation of workers in Bahrain. He said a sizable number of workers belonging to AP are being ill treated by their employers in foreign countries. The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) President said the A.P., Government would provide all possible assistance to the Indian Government in repatriating the workers.
With this, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy concluded the letter requesting Mr. S. Jaishankar to direct his officials and reach out to the Resident Commissioner, at the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi.
The Union External Affairs Ministry is yet to respond to the letter written by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister.
