On the 19th of December, Srikanth Kidambi clinched a silver medal in Men’s Singles. He was defeated by Loh Kean Yew, a player from Singapore. A former world no. 1, Srikanth lost 15-21, 20-22 to his opponent in 43 minutes. Despite the loss of a gold medal, India secured two medals at the Badminton World Federation (BWF.)
The BWF Championship 2021 started from the 12th of December and concluded on the 19th of December. The event was held in Huelva, Spain.
