In Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills, a shocking incident of sexual assault with a minor was reported.
On the 14th of September, Wednesday, the Hyderabad Police confirmed that a constable from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, allegedly sexually assaulted a minor girl at the victim’s house in Banjara Hills.
The policeman identified as Maheshwar Reddy, a resident of Vijayawada visited the house of the victim as he knew the mother of the minor girl. Notably, an official from the Banjara Hills Police Station confirmed the same and said, “The mother of the victim was known to him and during his visit he allegedly sexually assaulted the victim. On a complaint from the victim’s family, a case is booked.”
The case has been registered under the Protection of Child from Sexual Offence (POCSO) Act and an investigation has been launched. Moreover, the Hyderabad Police would send a police team to Vijayawada to arrest Maheshwar Reddy.
