AP Government Implements YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme

On the 1st of January, the Andhra Pradesh (A.P.) Government decided to deposit Rs. 2,000 into the bank accounts of farmers under the Y.S.R. Rythu Bharosa scheme and the PM Kisan Yojana.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) launched the scheme in 2019.

Kurasala Kannababu, the Agriculture Minister of A.P., said, “A total of nearly Rs. 1,082 crore will be transferred directly to the farmer’s remittance account for approximately 46,50,629 accounts.

Mr. Kannababu said the State Government also promised Rs. 13,500 annually for farmers and tenant farmers of the State under the same scheme, out of which Rs. 11,500 was already deposited in October.

The names of the eligible farmers would be listed in the village secretariats from the 3rd of January.  The YSRCP Government allocated an amount of Rs. 5,500 crores for the Rythu Bharosa scheme, benefitting nearly 46 lakhs farmers in the State.

The Rythu Bharosa scheme and the PM Kisan Yojana assure financial assistance of Rs. 13,500 annually to the farmers for cultivating crops.

The process to deposit the amount is expected to be initiated soon.
