On the 10th of CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed the authorities to hand over every scheme introduced by the state government to everyone who is eligible.
Arrangements have been made to sanction welfare schemes on merit basis if the scheme is applied for in the village secretariat without the involvement of middlemen. In this context, rice cards have been issued to over 2.90 lakh new families in the state.
Rice cards at this level have been issued in just the past two months. After reviewing the applications, the volunteers themselves go to the homes of the eligible families and hand over the rice cards.
This brings the total number of rice cards in the state to 1,50,15,765. The distribution of free goods will continue for the ninth installment in AP at present.
