The Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government is expected to conduct a Cabinet meeting on the 27th of December.  The meeting is scheduled to discuss the proposal of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) to have 3 State capitals.

Botcha Satyanarayana, the Municipal Administration Minister of A.P., recently addressed the media and said the A.P., Cabinet would decide about assigning three State capitals.

The decision to discuss the came after the G.N. Rao Committee submitted a report giving a green signal for the three State capitals.  The 3 State capitals would be Visakhapatnam, Amaravati and Kurnool.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would chair the Cabinet meeting and take a final decision.

Botcha Satyanarayana said even if the State has three capitals, the land taken from farmers for Amaravati’s development would be given back to them.  He further said the YSRCP would complete the development work and make A.P., a developed State, which was unfulfilled by the previous Telugu Desam Party (TDP) led State Government.

The meeting would be attended by Cabinet ministers, Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials and other YSRCP officials.
