The Andhra Pradesh Government led by the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) issued a notification for the election of Deputy Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislature.
On the 15th of September, Thursday, the notification was released whereas, the nominations would be received from the 16th of September, Friday, till evening.
According to sources, from the YSRCP Mr. Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy is likely to submit his nomination. Mr. Kolagatla Veerabhadraswa has informed that the nomination will be made at 3:30 P.M.
The Speaker has already announced that the Deputy Speaker will be elected to the Legislative Assembly on Monday, the 19th of September, which is likely to be unanimous.
Notably, the elections were scheduled after Mr. Kona Raghupathi resigned from the post of Deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh. His resignation was accepted by the Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Mr. Tammineni Sitaram, on the 15th of September, Thursday.
