AP HC To Review Kodali Nani’s Case Tomorrow, Likely To Give Verdict

The Andhra Pradesh High Court (HC) on the 17th of February, announced to deliver verdict on Kodalo Nani’s case.

The verdict would be on Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Nani’s petition against the State Election Commission’s orders.

Kodali Nani, the Civil Supplies Minister of Andhra Pradesh and a member of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) is going to complain against the State Election Commissioner (SEC.)

 

Mr. Kodali Nani complained about N. Ramesh Kumar to the Assembly Privilege Committee. He would ask Legislative Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram to initiate privilege proceedings against Ramesh Kumar for barring him from speaking to the media and directing Krishna Superintendent of Police (SP) to register a case against him.

On the 17th of February, the Andhra Pradesh HC heard the arguments of petitioner and SEC’s advocate and reserved the judgement.

The SEC directed the minister not to speak to media till February 21 and also directed Krishna Superintendent of Police (SP) to register a case against him. Nani has challenged the SEC’s orders in the High Court.

The High Court also appointed amicus curiae for assistance in the petition for clarity on remarks made by the Minister.
