On the 24th of December, Friday, Mr. Anil Kumar Yadav, the Irrigation and Water Resource Minister of Andhra Pradesh, made a strong remark against actor Ghanta Naveen Babu (Nani) and Mr. Pawan Kalyan, actor turned politician.
The Agriculture Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Anil Kumar Yadav said, he does not know Hero Nani, but only Kodali Nani. Notably, Mr. Kodali Venkateswara Rao, also known as Kodali Nani is the Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Taking a dig at the comments of hero Nani and Mr. Pawan Kalyan, Mr. Anil Kumar Yadav said, “I don’t know who is the hero Nani? I know only Kodali Nani.” He further questioned the remuneration of Pawan Kalyan and said, “What is Pawan Kalyan’ remuneration? If he charges Rs. 10 cr instead of Rs 50 cr there will be no loss with low ticket prices.”
During a media interaction, Mr. Anil Kumar Yadav said, these actors are fearing decrease in their remuneration cost. He further criticized Pawan Kalyan for charging high amounts for movies and cited examples of his recent movies “Vakeel Saab” and Bhimla Nayak. He said, of the total, 30% is movie cost, whereas 70% is charged by the actor.
He also asked, why don’t Pawan Kalyan and other actors render entertainment to the public at a low cost and charge less remuneration.
The war of word started with the fight over low ticket prices for movies in AP theaters, under the new ticket policy, likely to be introduced by the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
