The Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Botsa Satyanarayana said on Thursday that shifting of executive capital from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam is an ongoing process.

Talking to reporters, he stated that administrative capital will be relocated to Visakhapatnam at any moment. Botsa mentioned that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has liberty to rule the state from any city.

Mr. Botsa Satyanarayana said, “YSRCP government is committed to overall development of Andhra Pradesh by setting up three capitals.”

The minister slammed the opposition for obstructing the shifting of executive capital to Visakhapatnam by filing petitions in the High Court.

This is not the first time, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) spoke about shifting the Andhra Pradesh Capital to Visakhapatnam.

However, an official announcement regarding the switching of Capital is yet to be made.
