The President of the JanaSena Chief on the 10th March, casted his vote for the Andhra Pradesh Municipal elections.
Actor turned political Pawan Kalyan performed his franchise at Zila Parishad (ZP) Girls High School at Patamata center in Vijayawada.
Mr. Kalyan was accompanied by his bodyguards.
Besides Pawan Kalyan, G. Srinivas Ganta Rao, a member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) National Secretary Vijayasai Reddy, Vizianagaram Police Chief B. Raja Kumari and other political leaders casted their votes.
According to the State Election Commission (SEC) the polling is being held for 12 Municipal Corporations, including Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation and Greater Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and 75 Municipalities and Nagar Panchayats in Andhra Pradesh.
The voting for the aforementioned civic bodies started at 7:00 A.M., and would continue till 5:00 P.M.
Major parties contesting the elections are, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the JanaSena Party.
The results of the Municipal elections would be announced on the 14th of March.
