Mr. Vivek Venakataswamy, a former Member of Parliament (MP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader predicted that Ms. K. Kavitha, the Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would be arrested.
On the 27th of February, Monday, Mr. Vivek Venkateswara Swamy said, BRS MLC Kavitha will be soon arrested in connection with the Delhi Liquor scam. Addressing the media, Mr. Vivek accused the daughter of Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, to be involved in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam.
The comments came after his visit to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) temple to offer prayer to Lord Venkateswara Swamy. After the darshan, he spoke to the media and accused Telangana Chief Minister KCR of looting the state treasury and using the corrupt money in other states.
Furthermore, the BJP leader alleged that Ms. Kavitha gave Rs. 150 crores to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for elections expenditure.
Mr. Vivek further alleged that the people of Telangana are unhappy with KCR and that BRS was brought in to divert attention from the government’s misdeeds. He predicted that more people would be arrested in connection with the liquor scam. Vivek quipped that only outdated leaders are joining BRS and criticised that the party would not survive in Telangana.
