G.V.L. Narasimha Rao, the Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Andhra Pradesh (AP,) criticised the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
On the 28th of August, Narasimha Rao addressed a press conference and asked Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of AP, to make his stand clear about Amaravati, as to whether it would remain the capital of AP.
Since the past few days, the YSRCP ministers are speaking about shifting the capital of AP to another one instead of Amaravati. The BJP Spokesperson asked the AP CM to justify the action of the State Government.
The comments of Mr. Rao came after the different statements of AP Ministers and CM Y.S. Jagan’s recent statement about him thinking about having 4 capital cities of AP. Amaravati will be where the State Government does all the administrative work.
Rao further said it should be the call of the State Government whether it wants to keep Amaravati as the capital of the State or wants to go with another city.
According to Rao, as of now, the Central Government sanctioned a sum of Rs. 2,500 crores for the Capital’s development project, out of which, the Centre released Rs. 1,500 crores.
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will soon conduct a meeting and will announce the State Government’s stand about Amaravati.
