The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Andhra Pradesh will protest against the anti people policies launched by the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)

On the 11th of August, the BJP committee of Andhra Pradesh conducted a meeting regarding the campaigns to explain the importance of the abrogation of Article 370 and the negative aspects of the policies of the YSRCP.

The campaign and the protests are said to be a strategy of the BJP in the State to stand as a strong Party against the ruling Government.

Sunil Deodhar, the AP in charge of the BJP, Kanna Lakshminarayana, the President of the BJP in AP, BJP Members of Parliament (MPs) G.V.L. Narasimha Rao, Y. Sujana Chowdary, C.M. Ramesh and senior leaders like K. Hari Babu, G. Manikyala Rao, S. Veerraju and others attended the meeting.

Lakshminarayana criticised the AP Government for their wrong decisions, policies and bad strategies to rule in AP.

Speaking about the meeting, the BJP members said during the meeting, the Party members decided to protest against the removal of fair price shops, closure of Anna Canteens and other administration issues.

The BJP said it observed the YSRCP for two months and after keen observation about the way the YSRCP is ruling AP, chose to criticise the Party.  According to the BJP, the YSRCP administration, instead of developing AP, is causing regression. The BJP further added the two month YSRCP rule proved the Party is directionless and is after the opposition parties.

The BJP leader said, “Workers have become debt-ridden owing to a halt in construction activity in the state because of the scarcity of sand.”

The BJP leaders will stage a dharna on the 16th of August, at Gurazala in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh (AP.)

The BJP leaders also shared their concern about Section 144, which is imposed across the Country due to the Jammu and Kashmir issue.  Lakshminarayana said, “But Section 144 is in vogue throughout the country owing to Article 370 scrapping. We will make a decision soon as to how to go ahead.”

Lakshminarayana praised the BJP and said, “Passing of crucial bills like Triple Talaq, scrapping of Article 370 and others were widely appreciated by people.”

The BJP will also extend the duration of the BJP membership drive.

The BJP membership drive, which started on the 5th of July, will now continue till the 20th of August.

Stay tuned for further updates.
