Tadepalli: Former Additional Advocate General Ponnavolu Sudhakar has denounced the case against former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, calling it a political vendetta. Speaking to the media in Tadepalli, Ponnavolu stated that the TDP government filed false cases against Jagan and other officials with malicious intent, driven by personal animosity from Raghu Rama Krishna Raju.
Ponnavolu detailed that an FIR (Crime No. 187/2024) was registered against Jagan and several police officers under Section 307. He recalled that on May 14, 2021, then-MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju was arrested and brought to Guntur court, later filing a complaint alleging police torture.
Ponnavolu expressed surprise at the delayed police response to Raju’s complaint, suggesting ulterior motives. He highlighted inconsistencies in Raju’s statements, noting the recent complaint names senior IPS officers and implicates Jagan, despite no evidence. Ponnavolu questioned the validity of filing a case three years later and vowed to challenge it legally.
