Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) conducted a meeting with TDP leaders in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh (AP.)
The meeting was organised on the morning of the 15th of November to discuss the issue of sand shortage and the current political situation in Andhra Pradesh. The meeting was scheduled after Naidu’s 12 hour deeksha.
TDP Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs,) Members of Parliament (MPs,) workers and leaders attended the meeting.
The other issues which were discussed were making English the medium of instruction in government schools.
Apart from these, the TDP also discussed the resignation of Devineni Avinash. Avinash, on the 14th of November, resigned from the TDP and joined the opposition, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.) The TDP also decided to suspend Vallabhaneni Vamsi, the MLA of Gannavaram Assembly constituency, because of his critical comments against the Party.
Mr. Naidu also directed the MPs to raise the aforementioned issues during the Winter session of the Parliament, which is scheduled to begin soon.
