N. Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) said, he will protect every TDP activist in AP.
On the 1st of July, Mr. Naidu addressed the TDP activists and leaders at the State TDP office in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
During the meeting, Mr. Naidu raised the issue of violence against the TDP leaders and activists and said, the Party activists are the strength of the TDP and he will not let anything happen to his workers and leaders.
Naidu said, he will be available in case the leaders and activists need him and will safeguard them. During the meeting, there was also a discussion about the increasing number of attacks against the TDP activists.
According to Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP, since the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) formed the Government of AP, approximately 6 TDP activists were killed.
The YSRCP Government even targeted the Praja Vedika building, gave a notice to Chandrababu Naidu to vacate his private residence and reduced the security of N. Chandrababu Naidu and his family.
Naidu spoke about his tenure as the Chief Minister of AP and said, during the TDP’s rule, such violent attacks and misuse of power were never encouraged against the YSRCP.
Naidu also criticised the YSRCP Government for encouraging such attacks, instead of working towards the development of the citizens of Andhra Pradesh.
