Chandrababu Naidu To Reduce Taxes In AP If Wins AP Municipal Elections

Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) is campaigning for the Andhra Pradesh Municipal elections.

Mr. Naidu said under the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy rule, property tax would be levied on the citizens from the 1st of April. He said, after the A.P., Municipal elections, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) would increase hefty taxes on the citizens.

Mr. Naidu asked the leaders of TDP to make people aware of the tax burden which has been increased from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 50,000, under the leadership of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Mr. Chandrababu further said if people would vote for the TDP and make it win elections, the Party would bear the burden of taxes. The TDP would reduce the property tax to half of Rs. 50,000.

Amid the ongoing campaign of the Andhra Pradesh Municipal elections, Mr. Chandrababu held a teleconference. The teleconference was attended by all the TDP leaders for the upcoming Municipal elections.

This year, the fight is between the YSRCP and the TDP for the Assembly Municipal elections. Both the parties kick started their campaigns to make their own Party in Hyderabad. Besides the TDP and the YSRCP, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the JanaSena party would also contest the A.P., Municipal elections.

The Andhra Pradesh Municipal elections for 12 corporations and 75 municipalities would be held on the 10th of March.

The results of the Municipal elections would be announced on the 14th of March.
