Hyderabad: Tollywood in celebration mode after the union government nominated actor Chiranjeevi for prestigious Padma Vibhushan award. Chiranjeevi is often called as the Mega Star of Telugu film industry and has a huge fan base.
Konidala Siva Shankara Vara Prasad who entered the film industry with a motive of becoming an actor, turned himself into a great actor and stole the hearts of Telugu people. He acted in more than 153 films and majority of them were superhits at box office.
Chiranjeevi started an eye bank, blood bank and helped thousands of people across the Telugu states. He started Praja Rajyam party wayback in 2008 and failed to succeed in 2009 elections. Later he merged the party in Congress and served as tourism minister of India.
Chiranjeevi started second innings as an actor and became busy with a huge lineup of films. He thanked the union government for nominating him to the prestigious award. Chiranjeevi thanked Telugu people and his fans for continuous support.
