Vijayawada: AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will launch the extended benefit of YSR Arogyasri scheme to Rs. 25 lakhs for the needy patients.
Jagan on Thursday conducted a review meeting on Aarogyasri scheme and directed theMedical and Health Department officials to give confidence to the patients that the government will bear medical expenses up to Rs.25 lakhs for the needy.
Jagan told authorities that health is a matter of right and every citizen deserves good treatment and an improved health care system. He said that the extended Aarogyasri program at state level will be launched on December 18, 2023 and MLAs will launch the followup programs at ground level next day.
Jagan added that the government has enhanced the free medical treatment limit to Rs. 25 lakh with humanity and officials also should act with responsibility in extending the benefit to necessary people. The Chief Minister told health wing authorities to conduct one Suraksha camp in a village in each mandal in rural areas and one camp in a ward in urban areas every week.
