Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, once again raised the long pending demand for special status to Andhra Pradesh.
On the 12th of November, Saturday, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, urged Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, to grant special status to Andhra Pradesh. Since the bifurcation of Telangana from the Telugu State of Andhra Pradesh in 2014, the Andhra Pradesh Government is demanding special status for the State, under the 2014 AP Bifurcation Act.
On Saturday, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy addressed the public during the Visakhapatnam Public meeting of Mr. Narendra Modi and hailed the contributions of the Central Government. Furthermore, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy requested PM Narendra Modi to take a positive decision and fulfil the promise of special status to Andhra Pradesh and support the State Government, which did not fully recover from the struggles, the crisis happened due to the 2014 bifurcation.
Furthermore, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also said, for the past three years, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) is making efforts aiming for the growth and development of the Telugu State. He said, the YSRCP Government have balanced welfare and development projects since 2019 and aimed for the development of not only the State but its people too.
In the past three years, Andhra Pradesh has witnessed industrial growth with the foundation of various projects and implementation of welfare schemes for the underprivileged and various classes of society.
Concluding his speech, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy once again asked PM Narendra Modi to grant special status, along with financial assistance, for the development of Andhra Pradesh.
