Education Department To Release SSC Time Table After Lockdown

The Andhra Pradesh Government, on the 28th of April, announced to release the  time table of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) 10th class examinations after the lockdown.

Due to the pandemic illness the Novel Coronavirus, the Central Government and State Government announced a nation wide lockdown, from the 24th of March, following which the exams were postponed till further notice.

The nation wide lockdown is proposed to end on the 3rd of May.

Adimulapu Suresh, the Education Minister of Andhra Pradesh, addressed the media and said,  the examinations of class 10th would be held 2 weeks from the end of the lockdown.

The date of the examinations is scheduled to be announced after the Education department and the State Government takes the decision on the lockdown.

In addition, Mr. Suresh said the State Education Department is consulting the medical officials and chalking out strategies to conduct exams by wearing masks and following the social distancing norms.

Recently, the State Government even started online classes for the students of class 10th through television telecasts of their syllabus by teachers.

Besides, the Central Government also allocated a sum of Rs. 1,529 crores under the Comprehensive Training Scheme.   Mr. Suresh said, “The Government has sought the Central Government to release the pending amount.” 

So far, the Central Government only released Rs. 923 crores under the scheme.

  Meanwhile, the State recorded a total of 1,259 cases of the Novel Coronavirus with as many as 31 fatalities till date.
