On the 10th of March, Pasupuleti Balaraju, a former leader of the Indian National Congress (INC,) joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
Mr. Balaraju joined the YSRCP in front of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Vijayasai Reddy and other YSRCP leaders.
Along with Balaraju, his daughter Dr. Darshini, a former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the INC, Thayala Vijay Kumar and several other leaders joined the YSRCP.
The A.P., Local bodies elections are scheduled to be held soon, starting from the 21st of March to the 29th of March.
While the Zila Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) and Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) elections would be held on the 21st, the Municipal elections would be held on the 23rd of March.
The Gram Panchayat elections would be held in two phases on the 27th of March,and the 29th of March.
