Ananthapuram: Former MLA Y Vishweswara Reddy has accused the coalition government of neglecting the education sector, leaving students and parents in distress due to unpaid fees reimbursement dues.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Reddy highlighted widespread complaints from students and parents about college managements withholding certificates because reimbursement dues remain unpaid. He demanded immediate release of the pending amounts, stating, “The government should not play with the lives of students.”
Reddy criticized Nara Lokesh for being disconnected from the ground realities and claimed that the current government has failed to prioritize education. In contrast, he praised former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for implementing transformative policies in the education sector.
“The government’s apathy is evident in its inadequate budget allocations for education. This is affecting the future of students, who are bearing the brunt of these negligent policies,” Reddy said. He urged the coalition government to take swift action to address the grievances of students and parents and restore faith in its commitment to education.
